"Releasing Control Art Restriction Systems three...two...one, approval of Situation A recognized. Commencing the Cromwell invocation. Ability restrictions lifted for limited use until the enemy has been rendered silent."
Alucard has many names such as 'No life King', 'Vampire King' or even 'Vampire God' {In the Abridged series he also carries the name of 'The Crimson Fucker'}. While we're at the subject of names, in his previous life Alucard was called Vlad Tepes nicknamed 'Vlad the Impaler' or 'Drakulla' - after his father 'Drakull'. Which gives Alucard the title of 'Count Drakulla'. After he was 'tamed' by Hellsing Alucard became a loyal servant of the Organisation. He is surely strongest Vampire [and any other being] in the whole series [and possibly one of the most powerful in the folklore of Vampires].

Alucard is known for his brutal behaviour, even in the parody he is shown as a 'troll' that enjoys messing around with people in al sorts of brutal ways. His personality comes from his previous life as Vlad, especially his hate towards God. As Vlad he fought in the war against the Turks in order to 'Spread Christianity' He never asked God for favours, but instead did may great and terrible things. He soon became famous and feared for his battles against the Turks in hope of 'the awakening of new Jerusalem'. In his final battle he was taken prisoner by the Turks and just few seconds before getting killed he drank the blood splattered on the floor of his "scorched and besieged homeland" and became a Vampire. Even though he is said to be brutal, he never kills his enemy until he or she has been humiliated and suffered.
On the othr hand Alucard is deeply sad inside as well as envious of humans for their ability to die and deeply respects those who can say 'no' to the choice of becoming an immortal. Even Arthur Hellsing said:
"For what they all seem to seek is to wage war, and endless desperate, blood-stained struggles. Things quite close to crying loudly. I do not think they desire those things at all. On the contrary: all of this is their way of shouting and begging for death.". And even though he appears feeling-less he is able of shedding tears for other people, such as in his final battle with Alexander Anderson.
